A Lifetime of Experience
Born in Australia, Gayle Bu was exposed to a variety of cultures at an early age living in Australia, England, Greece and Germany. She has called the United States home since 1996.
She spent 14 years of her professional life as a personal and administrative assistant for high level executives of prestigious organizations such as Gap Inc. and Del Monte. Her professionalism, discretion, and determined focus made her invaluable to executives she worked with.
Beaten but not Defeated
In 2002, she was suddenly and unexpectedly struck down by a brain aneurysm and cerebral brain hemorrhage. After several life threatening brain surgeries and months of physical therapy she made an amazing full recovery but the experience sparked her into action.
Seeking to create work / life balance after such a traumatic event, Gayle conversed with friends who owned businesses of their own. She soon realized that courage and determination are required to create and maintain a successful business. Unfortunately, many courageous entrepreneurs are so inundated by day-to-day administrative details that they cannot focus on necessary strategic planning. In this technological age there wasn’t any reason why a business owner, regardless of the size of his or her company, shouldn’t have an assistant. So Gayle set out to be the administrative business partner for the busy entrepreneur.
Seeking to fulfill that need Gayle went on to found Bu Virtual Office Services – a professional office services firm for the busy entrepreneur.
Virtual Assistant
Seeking more training than her corporate experience provided, she enrolled in the Virtual Training Program through AssistU, the foremost school for Virtual Assistants. This graduate level program focuses on business management, marketing, technology and business ethics.
Since completing her training in 2003, Gayle has been a successful Virtual Assistant with clients in interior design, corporate consulting, insurance as well as property and financial management. Gayle enjoys working with a variety of clients with various backgrounds and personalities.
The Mission
Gayle’s mission for Bu Virtual Office Services is: “Your success is my success”. She doesn't just provide a service but truly becomes your business partner in your success. She believes that true personal assistance is becoming a lost art and aims to recapture this art by seamlessly becoming part of your company and providing what you’ve been missing: precious time and peace of mind.
